A paper plant’s 20-year-old GE drive system was failing and running out of spare parts, but couldn’t tolerate an extended outage for replacement. AMS engineered a section-by-section retrofit using ABB DCS800 drives, replacing all 16 units across four scheduled maintenance windows with no production disruption.
